Eastcott Dry Rosé

Style

A dry Rosé with redcurrant and strawberry notes ideal for drinking at any time or as an aperitif.

Winemaking Notes

This wine is made from exclusively red grapes and so the bunches were pressed without de-stalking and crushing to ensure extraction of just the right amount of colour to give a lovely strawberry pink. The juice was cold settled and then fermented in stainless steel tanks, followed by Malolactic fermentation to soften the wine and add complexity. After several months maturation it was bottled, with a small dosage of fresh grape juice to balance the acidity with a hint of sweetness.
